Lancaster is proud to be the first sheet metal contractor (and one of only a few construction contractors) in North America to be registered to the OHSAS 18001 standard! OHSAS 18001 is an internationally accepted specification that provides an organization with a structured approach to planning, implementing and managing an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS). An OHSMS is a framework that allows an organization to consistently identify and control its health and safety risks, reduce the potential for accidents, help achieve compliance with health and safety legislation and continually improve its performance.
In October of 2005, Lancaster Sheet Metal celebrated 50 years of business. The celebration included a luncheon Open House for customers, suppliers and associates and a Dinner for employees, families and friends.
